where is the best place to buy a used road racing bike?

I want to buy a felt, trek, specialized, cannondale or comprable for less than $500. Is there a bike trader site?

You can look on either eBay or Craigslist, or www.roadbikereview.com. Another good place to look is with a local racing club or team.

Regardless, your best bet is to buy a racing bike from a racer/ex-racer that's trying to get rid of a bike either because he/she is upgrading to another bike, or getting harassed by the spouse/SO to get rid of those 3 or 4 extra bikes lying around in the garage taking up space.
