What’s Hot: WoW Patch Notes

May 31, 2008

(see Site605 for more on WoW Patch Notes)

What?: WoW Patch notes refer to an update of the popular World of Warcraft game. If you’re a regular user of World of Warcraft, you probably have gotten frustrated at the player versus player side of the game. For some time now, WoW has been changing from a questing game to battle royale between arena tricksters.

Wow Patch fix: World of Warcraft has been trying to level the playing field; the latest patch notes do that. If a player is more than 150 points lower with their personal rating than the team rating, then opponents will be adjusted accordingly.

Status Quo Problem: There is enormous difference between the skill level of players who come to battle in a fight to death in the arena. Other than that, you had to face those who outsourced the collection of gold to manipulate the system. On the other hand, a really new player could pay to have be part of an experienced, awesome team for a week. This meant if you were just diving into the arena world, that you could be matched with mostly suitable teams, only to come to find out they have ONE person who is decked out in the best available gear.

List of Some of the Patch Notes:

Hunters

* Aspect of the Viper: This ability now grants an additional amount of mana each 5 seconds equal to 35% of the hunter’s level.
* Boar Charge: This ability will no longer make Growl cast immediately after it generates excessive threat.

Shaman

* Ability: Frostbrand Weapon: Rank 6 damage has been increased very slightly.

Mages

* Talent: Improved Blink (Arcane) now reduces chance to be hit by 13/25% and the duration of Rank 1 has been increased to 4 seconds.

Paladins

* Crusader Strike (Retribution) will now properly receive a damage increase from Seal of The Crusader.
