Musicians: Reach Out To Your Audience Via Internet Radio Station

A lot of artists these days set up a MySpace page or a website. Those are great tools, of course, but it still does not help to have a web site or MySpace page if no one knows who you are. How can potential audience reach an independent band?

I started uploading audio files of our songs a few months ago at a great radio station that provides artists free radio airplay called IMRadio.com Now, we have an exposure to a large international audience through IMRadio.com, where we can communicate with our fans, and making us feel in control of our music. It is very important to put your heart and soul into what you do.

IMRadio.com is very easy to use. We simply signed up for a free account in a couple of minutes, then we began uploading our audio files.

For listeners to use IMRadio is effortless as well. When you go to the web site, there is a drop-down box that lets you choose the genre you would like to listen to. There are many different options! You could ever imagine every type of music – even some that you have probably never heard of. Included in some of the categories are acid jazz, adult contemporary, alternative, Americana, country., club music, emo, dance, death metal,and grunge.

You simply sign up for an account to allow you upload your songs in broad-cast quality mp3 format. Radio stations can then come along and search Airplay Direct for material appropriate to their particular station. They can download it instantly and get it into their playlists quickly once they have found your music without having to contact you and wait for you to post them a CD.

My band and I continue to enjoy the results of making ourselves available on IMRadio.com.
