Any recommended christian action adventure novels?

January 9, 2009

I'm a 23 year old guy looking to get into some action/adventure novels either written in from a Christian perspective, or with STRONG Christian undertones. Again, I'm a guy, so I'm not so much into love stories, but more like historical fiction. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Don't know about any historical christian fiction, but if you like action/adventure then I suggest: Comes a Horseman by Robert Liparulo. The circle trilogy by Ted Dekker, Black, Red and White. Waking Lazarus by T. L. Hines. And all of Tim Down's novels.

One of my favorite authors is Robin Hardy, who is a strong devoted Christian. The only ones I've read are called "The Annals of Lystra" which include "The Chataine's Guardian", "Stone of Help", and "Liberation of Lystra", but they're kind of like a love story. Though there is some action involved. But I know she has written many other books for guys. Look her up on amazon or something. She's a great writer.

    hope that helps!

How about slightly futuristic fiction? Check out this author, he has a new Christian sci-fi book coming out this summer with plenty of action! He goes by the pen name of Frank Creed. http://frankcreed.com/

While not too action/adventurish(is that a word?!?) Francine Rivers has written a series of books that are absolutely wonderful! They are called "The Mark of the Lion" trilogy and they are categorized as Christian historical fiction. I read them a few years ago and raved about them so much that my husband read them. He now has them on his bedside table and re-reads them at least twice a year…they really are THAT awesome!
